BAM Bags™ and the Original ZIPPURSE™ was founded by Beth A. Metsch, licensed architect and proud mother of two. “I love to design and build things big and small. A building can take years, but I can design a bag, sew it that day, and wear it by evening.” When Ms. Metsch’s mother asked for a purse made out of zippers they decided to make a competition of it. They bought a roll of zipper, split it in half and went to their sewing machines. Ms. Metsch’s completely un-zippable purse was so entertaining that her mother ordered a few and so did the stores.
