Our company was organized in 1908 fully believing that there was an earnest demand from the retail shoe dealer for a rubber shoe company that would be independent enough not to follow every other company in every thing they do.

Today we strive to be as visionary in our creations as our founder Marquis Mills Converse was when he decided to trust his gut and venture beyond what was known. This thinking has taken us from the basketball court, the Rock and Roll stage and now to new lines of sport and heritage-inspired accessories for men and women that play on, each in their own way.
